The role of a Senior Linux Systems Engineer is a pivotal position within our organization, requiring an individual with extensive experience in system administration, VMware operations, and cloud management.
* System Administration:
Our ideal candidate will have proven expertise in administering and maintaining Linux-based systems, primarily RHEL and Rocky Linux, with some Ubuntu. They will be responsible for ensuring system reliability, performance, and security across the infrastructure.
* VMware Operations:
Responsibilities include performing regular VMware operations such as VM creation and management.
* Cloud Management:
The engineer will manage virtual machines hosted on cloud providers without direct involvement in Azure/AWS/GCP operations.
* Project-Based Activities:
Participation in both run (daily operations) and build (projects and improvements) activities is expected.
* Junior Support:
Candidates should have coaching and mentoring skills to support junior system administrators.
