Your role
As a Finance Analyst you will:
develop and maintain the analytical frameworks and tools used for financial analysis and compilation, ensuring high-quality data for planning and monitoring the project;contribute to the analytical work of the Section, including by maintaining the project plan and risk register and by preparing and automating project progress, financial or headcount reports and dashboards for key stakeholders and high-level audiences;support other teams and divisions regarding the use of resources, ensuring alignment with the policies in place; identify, propose and implement process improvements and advance data analytics and digitalisation initiatives in the context of the digital euro project’s goals and the Directorate’s roadmap; support the secretariat of the Project Steering Group and High Level Task Force and help organise meetings with high-level officials. Qualifications, experience and skills
Essential:
a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, mathematics, computer science or another relevant field (see for details on degree equivalences);in addition to the above, at least two years of experience in budgeting and controlling or a similar oversight function, or in financial analysis and/or financial performance analysis in the financial services sector;professional experience in data analysis, compilation and visualisation, both at a high level and in detail for policymakers via dashboards, reports and presentations;an advanced (C1) command of English and an intermediate (B1) command of at least one other official language of the EU, according to the.Desired:
professional experience in supporting governance structures, including preparing large-scale meetings, orchestrating written procedures and facilitating the preparation of relevant documentation;professional experience in presenting complex topics to high-level audiences;experience using project planning tools (e.g. Microsoft Project and Jira); hands-on experience with the development and automation of reports and dashboards, for example in Microsoft Excel/VBA, Power BI and Power Query.You engage collaboratively with others. You analyse complex information effectively and can evaluate different views to arrive at solutions.
