Senior Java Developer (m/f/d) Join Xempus, Germany’s leading independent SaaS platform for the management and distribution of pension, life and health insurance. The Role We are looking for a seasoned Senior Java Engineer with deep architecture expertise and a passion for building high‑performance, modular applications. You will architect and develop IAM solutions for our SaaS product, mentor teammates and drive quality practices. Responsibilities Develop and maintain modular Java applications using Spring Boot and related technologies. Collaborate with product management to architect and implement IAM solutions. Implement effective quality practices: unit, integration, load and performance testing. Identify performance bottlenecks and design configurable, high‑performance solutions. Mentor team members on best software development practices. What We Are Looking For Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field. At least 10 years of Java development experience. Strong focus on software engineering, architecture, best practices and quality. Deep knowledge of SQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL. Proficiency: Java 17+, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Kafka, RESTful APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, and testing tools. Excellent English communication skills.
