Site Purchasing Manager Villingen, Germany Hybrid Responsibilities Oversee supply management for the manufacturing site Serve as the go-to person for purchasing at the site Manage internal stakeholders including Operations, Supply Chain, Admin, and legal Maintain and enhance supplier relationships and their performance Evaluate the quality and service levels of suppliers Promote site-specific purchasing initiatives to improve site performance Lead and report on purchasing performance Implement the category strategy onto the site Job Expertise Technical expertise: purchasing and master data administration, negotiation skills, enterprise relationship management Over 6 years of purchasing experience - packaging, pharmaceutical and automotive industry is preferred Leadership skills, self-starter, team player, communication and relational skills Business knowledge: knowledge of the supply chain and commercial business Education or background: computer literacy, SAP, sound knowledge of business administration, Ariba skills, Purchasing degree Language skills: good command of English and German, analytical and troubleshooting skills preferred Accountability Guidelines, policies and procedures: implement and contribute to the improvement of the guidelines Process: mastery of process use Spend / Geography scope: 70M € large site level/country-wide scope Strategy definition: feeding of input for strategy definition Strategy execution: operational and tactical Exposure to senior management: member of the site management Additional Information This is a hybrid role, with the employee working both on-site and remotely. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain management and purchasing. They will also have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
