The Basic Infrastructure department is responsible for the SAN including storage, the mainframe, data center housing, the network, and data backup. Our Basic Services team plans, configures, and administers the infrastructure at the middle service level. We are looking for a new colleague for our Berlin or Würzburg location. Your tasks You will be responsible for the server and end device-related security infrastructure (ePO) of the infrastructures at DRV Bund as well as the decentralized ePO instances at customers with over 20,000 licenses. You will be responsible for ePO administration (Endpoint Protection). You will be actively involved in the planning and continuous development of the security infrastructure and will also participate in measures related to procurement processes. Your responsibilities will also include analyzing and cleaning malware on clients and servers. To do this, you will conduct forensic investigations, analyze unknown files and their behavior using the Trellix Intelligent Sandbox, and evaluate threats reported by the BSI. You will assist in the development and implementation of technical measures in the ePO system to prevent potential threats identified by the analyses. You will participate in the planning, design, implementation, and documentation of our endpoint protection environments. In addition, you will participate in the creation and maintenance of restart and recovery plans as part of emergency management for both endpoint protection environments. As part of the tasks described above, you will participate in on-call duty (alerts via telephone, SMS, messaging) and, if necessary, planned weekend assignments. Due to the cross-location nature of the work, regular, plannable business trips (on a monthly basis) between our locations in Berlin and Würzburg are necessary. Your profile You have a university degree (bachelor's, diploma) in IT or completed vocational training in IT or a comparable qualification (e.g., IT-specific qualification) or several years of comparable practical experience in IT. You already have several years of professional experience in the field, especially in the area of endpoint protection (antivirus). Knowledge of Linux, Windows, logging, monitoring, file services, DNS, and NTP is desirable. Experience in identifying, analyzing, and resolving error states in basic infrastructure systems as well as initial experience in cross-team project work are also desirable. You are willing to participate in on-call duty as well as regular business trips, as described in the job description. Your German language skills correspond to language level B2, and we will be happy to support you in expanding your language skills in the future.
