Our Business Area (BA) Markets is looking for the right person to fill the position as
Structuring Analyst
for our offices in Hamburg or Stockholm
Your key responsibilities:
As a Structuring Analyst, you’ll play a key role in developing and refining the forward curves and the customer-pricing models that underpin daily end-of-day reporting and pricing decisions. Joining our FCCP (Forward Curve, Customer Pricing) team, you’ll combine analytical and business expertise to tackle complex challenges while ensuring smooth daily operations and a robust data infrastructure for real-time pricing.
We offer an exciting and challenging job where you work close to the business as well as with state-of-the-art modelling infrastructure. The position offers a mix of analytical and IT tasks and close cooperation with the front office, which provides a solid commercial understanding and context to our operating markets.
* Models: Build and improve our Forward Curves which are essential for our business since they drive the pricing and risk decisions throughout the whole company. You will also support the pricing models for our end user customers to make sure the price components such as imbalance cost and hourly shaping are up to date. All our models are in Python.
* Analysis: Combine business understandings with analytical and technical skills to tackle and ultimately solve upcoming problems
* Operational support: Ensure the daily end-of-day forward curve process runs smoothly, as it is critical for P&L checks, as well as the within-day pricing processes. Provide immediate support and troubleshooting if the process fails, maintaining accuracy and continuity in reporting and customer pricing.
* Data & Infrastructure: Ensure our data and infrastructure maintains high quality by e.g. setting up data pipelines, follow and improve coding guidelines of the team or make sure our real time pricing model is up and running
Qualifications
* A strong interest in learning about the energy markets and a commercial mindset
* Academic degree of relevant mathematical discipline, such as engineering, mathematics, physics, software engineering or similar
* Good Python skills is a must, experience with tools such as Kafka, Git and Azure is a plus
* A stress-resilient team player who can manage multiple priorities and quickly switch focus to provide operational support when needed
* Detail-oriented and thorough when coding and maintaining infrastructure to ensure stability and reliability for models that rely on a robust environment
* Strong communication skills and the willingness to interact with colleagues, stakeholders and other data-driven departments
* Fluent in English
