For our partner company, Quartz Healthcare Germany GmbH – one of the fastest growing European networks for radiology, radiotherapy and nuclear medicine – we are looking for a Head of Medical IT (m/f/d) as part of direct placement (permanent employment with our client) at the Wuppertal location.
In this key position, you are far more than an administrator: you are the technological architect for a highly critical system landscape. Together with the CIO, you drive the transformation towards a cloud-based, API-first architecture and implement pioneering AI solutions in diagnostics. You lead and expand a specialized team and act as the central interface between innovation and stable operations.

Your tasks
6. Strategic Management & Development: Responsibility for the Medical IT sector as well as leading and expanding the team (currently 2 specialists).
7. Technological transformation: Migration and further development of the system landscape (RIS, PACS, VNA) towards cloud and API-first structures.
8. Innovation management: Integration and scaling of AI-supported solutions and modern speech recognition into diagnostic processes.
9. Interface management: Close, trusting cooperation with the CIO and coordination with the heads of infrastructure and services.
10. Project management: Holistic support for site integrations, system consolidations and the telematics infrastructure.

Your profile
14. Solid expertise: Several years of professional experience in medical IT, ideally with a deep technical understanding of radiology (DICOM, HL7, PACS).
15. Cloud affinity: Practical experience with cloud architectures and modern integration concepts.
16. Willingness to shape things: Leadership experience is not a must – what matters is your hands-on mentality, your passion for technology and your willingness to rethink things.
17. Project know-how: Experience in managing complex migrations or system integrations.
18. Strong communication skills: Fluent German skills and the ability to explain complex IT topics in a way that is appropriate for the target audience.
