In this strategic leadership role, you will lead a high-performing team delivering impactful projects for some of the world’s largest OEMs in the renewables industry. Your expertise will shape world-class project governance, drive performance excellence, and set new benchmarks for project execution, influencing executive decisions to propel Power & Controls toward its strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to the development and execution of the Power & Controls strategy, ensuring strategic projects are aligned with divisional objectives.
* Represent the project execution and delivery perspective in leadership decision‑making forums.
* Collaborate with senior leaders to drive cross‑functional alignment, operational excellence, and customer‑centric thinking across the division.
* Support initiatives for continuous improvement, risk management, and organizational development within Power & Controls.
* Act as a role model for leadership behaviors and values, fostering a high‑performance culture.
* Lead and develop the Project Management Office (PMO) team, building project management competencies and best practices.
* Oversee planning, execution, and governance of strategic projects for key customers, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget, and on‑quality delivery.
* Ensure strong stakeholder and resource coordination across functions (Engineering, Operations, Quality, Sourcing) to deliver on project commitments.
* Act as senior escalation point for project issues and coordinate effective resolution.
* Drive standardization, reporting, and continuous improvement of project processes and tools.
* Represent the PMO in executive customer interactions, including steering committees and governance reviews.
* Track project performance and proactively manage risks, opportunities, and changes affecting project outcomes.
What You Bring to the Role
* A Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
* Minimum 5 years of experience leading a Project Management Office (PMO) with a strong track record in people leadership and team development.
* 10+ years of progressive experience in program and project management, ideally within industrial or technical B2B environments.
* Demonstrated success in leading strategic and complex projects, preferably within the wind or renewable energy sector.
* Hands‑on experience managing customer‑driven projects, including delivery models such as build‑to‑print, build‑to‑spec, and build‑to‑requirement.
* A deep understanding of project management methodologies and best practices. Certification or hands‑on experience with frameworks such as IPMA, PMI/PMP, Prince2, Scrum, or Half Double is a strong advantage.
* Proven leadership capabilities, including managing international and cross‑functional teams.
* A collaborative mindset with the ability to navigate and influence across a matrix organization.
* Fluent in English (spoken and written).
* Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 30–50 days/year).
