About the Role
As an EMC Test and Design Verification Engineer, you will be responsible for executing and analyzing electromagnetic compatibility EMC) tests on telematic systems. Your responsibilities will include preparing test setups, configuring measurement equipment, performing tests in accordance with automotive standards, and documenting and interpreting test results. In addition, you will contribute to the optimization of designs and test methods to ensure EMC compliance and support continuous improvement efforts.
You will apply your expertise in EMC principles, measurement techniques, and regulatory requirements to help drive product conformity and robust system performance. You will be part of Telematics Development/Engineering Team inside SBU Connectivity and collaborate closely with development and quality teams to support products throughout all stages of the design and validation process. In this role, you will report to Team Leader HW Engineering.

Analyze normative requirements and OEM‑specific standardsDerive test cases from system, hardware, or software requirementsDefine EMC concept and support during schematic and PCB designUtilize EMC simulation tools to assess system performance and support data‑driven design optimization.Create test strategies, test plans, and verification conceptsSet up and configure the test environmentPerform manual or automated testsOperate test benches and laboratory equipmentConduct measurements and functional verificationEvaluate and interpret measurement resultsIdentify malfunctions, deviations, or potential risksSupport root‑cause analysis activitiesSupport design verification measurements like electrical or temperature testsCollaborate with developers to resolve issuesCreate test reports, test logs, and deviation reportsManage test data and ensure traceabilityPresent test results in development meetingsContinuously improve test processes and methodologiesParticipate in FMEAs, reviews, and release discussionsWhat You Need to Be Successful
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualificationHands‑on experience with component, system, or software testingMinimum of 3 years of experience in EMC testing, validation processes, and measurement technologiesExperience with schematic/layout design tools, simulation environments, and standard Microsoft applicationsStrong verbal and written English skillsHigh level of creativity combined with solid analytical problem‑solving capabilitiesEffective communication skills across technical and non‑technical stakeholdersAbility to articulate complex technical topics clearly and defend engineering decisionsProven ability to collaborate within cross‑functional engineering teamsBonus Points if You Have
