What you can expect
Your core tasks will be to provide and support the IT infrastructures in our national and international customer projects for sustainable local public transport. You will act as an integrator between the various specialist departments within INIT and form the fundamental interface between hardware and software in our projects.
Here is an insight into your tasks
* You will coordinate the provision of the necessary resources (on-premise, virtual, cloud) in close consultation with customers and technical teams
* You will be primarily responsible for the planning, setup, and operation of network and security infrastructures, virtualization platforms, and Active Directory environments
* You will get to the bottom of tricky problems with our development team, perform 2nd and 3rd level analyses and troubleshooting, and continuously ensure that vulnerabilities are remedied and our customers' infrastructure is developed in a secure and sustainable manner
* As part of your role, you will contribute to the creation of our technical concepts and documentation for our global tenders
What you bring to the table
* You have completed training or a degree in IT and can impress us with your relevant professional experience
* You have in-depth knowledge of hardware, network technologies, storage systems, and IT security
* You are confident in administering Microsoft and Linux operating systems and have proven experience in installing, setting up, and managing virtualized environments with VMware and Hyper-V, including data backup solutions
* Knowledge of Citrix technologies and NetScaler ADC as well as experience with container technologies are a real plus for us
* You can see the results of your work live on site during occasional customer visits
* Teamwork is more than just a buzzword for you, and you show initiative
* You communicate confidently in German and English
