We’d love to hear from you!About the DepartmentAccount Executives, Business Development Representatives, Solution Engineers, Customer Success, and Sales Operations work together to help customers adopt Cloudflare and create great Internet-enabled experiences.The sales team helps customers solve real, technical problems while creating revenue streams that support free services for millions in our community.About the RoleOur DACH sales team is building an Enterprise-focused organization spanning mid-tier to Global 2000 Enterprise accounts. Cloudflare has accelerated bringing Enterprise and Fortune 1000 companies onto our platform, and this team will do so with greater focus, faster pace, and higher long-term growth expectations.As the Sales Director Majors, you will lead our German Majors Accounts and Public Sector sales team, reporting to the DACH Area VP. We seek an experienced Majors Accounts Sales Leader responsible for driving Cloudflare's revenue, hiring, and brand, while maintaining Cloudflare culture.The role requires leadership across go-to-market strategy, management of Majors Account Executives, account planning, executive relationship mapping, trust-building and product co-creation, balancing short and long sales cycles, and cross-functional collaboration with product, marketing, support, success, solution engineering, and channels to target our highest growth potential accounts. The objective is to cultivate delighted, referenceable, multi-million dollar (ACV) large enterprise Cloudflare customers who derive value from today’s portfolio and future roadmap.ResponsibilitiesDrive sales growth through leadership, organizational planning, customer service, and execution of regional go-to-market programs (sales, customer success, solutions engineering, business development, support, and field marketing).Lead a senior, experienced sales team and directly/indirectly lead supporting roles around Named & Majors accounts.Continue to grow the German Majors Accounts’ Sales team and drive hiring with global leadership and recruiting resources.Adopt and influence Cloudflare’s sales methodology/process and drive best practices in selling, forecasting, and account management.Design and execute Germany-specific strategies in collaboration with regional/global leaders, especially for multinational corporations with distributed buying centers and infrastructure.Represent Cloudflare as the single point of contact for operational concerns, ensuring proper escalation and resolution.Ensure corporate policy and regulatory initiatives are followed by the sales organization.Provide outstanding leadership, inspire interpersonal effectiveness, develop talent, and drive change; act as a “doer” and “influencer.”Drive business cadence for forecast calls, functional reviews, deal reviews, customer account reviews, weekly team meetings, and company-wide kickoffs.Represent Cloudflare at external conferences, media, and PR events; maintain relationships with key industry and public sector groups to support strategic business.Travel within EMEA is expected.Examples of desired skills, knowledge and qualificationsMinimum 10 years of senior and multi-level sales leadership experience, plus 10+ years of direct B2B selling to large enterprise accounts.Experience managing longer, complex sales cycles with quarterly cadence.Proven ability to sell solutions to large strategic customers.Strong understanding of sales process/methodology, pipeline management, forecasting, and quarterly results delivery.Promotions to sales leadership with a track record of over-quota achievement and career stability are a plus.Experience selling into Public Sector, Financial Services, Retail, Insurance, Pharma, Healthcare, Consumer Markets, Media/Publishing, Manufacturing, Technology, and other sectors.Experience in network performance and security, understanding how the Internet works, corporate networking, SD-WAN, and concepts like Zero Trust and SASE.Aptitude for learning technical concepts; a technical background is a plus.Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.Excellent presentation skills to executives and individual contributors.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.What Makes Cloudflare Special?We’re a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company with a soul.
