Role Purpose
In 2026, Xiaomi’s imaging strategy is evolving from a technical partnership to an imaging authority. As the Regional Photography Community Manager, you will be the lead architect of the German Imaging Ecosystem, a blueprint designed to radiate professional influence throughout Western Europe.
You will manage a multi-layered community strategy: penetrating top-tier photography institutions, validating the brand through professional networks (Xiaomi x Leica), and amplifying our visual storytelling across social layers. You are the bridge between world-class artistry and cutting-edge mobile innovation.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Partnerships: Establish and nurture relationships with top-tier cultural and professional institutions
* Event Leadership: Lead Xiaomi’s presence at major industry events, ensuring Xiaomi is positioned as a thought leader in the future of imaging.
* Pathfinding: Identify and engage with senior photographers and editors to define the aesthetic direction of mobile photography in Europe.
* The Academy Mechanism: Evolve the Xiaomi Masterclass and Master Experience into permanent offline communication mechanisms across WEU.
* Professional Networking: Manage the regional "Industry Recognition" layer, ensuring Xiaomi is a trusted name within local professional creator organizations.
* Ambassador Management: Collaborate with ambassadors to produce high-end content that proves Xiaomi can produce professional-grade imaging.
* Editorial Collaboration: Partner with lead editors at influential media outlets to secure deep-dive technical and artistic validation.
* Creator Program: Oversee the Xiaomi Creators Program at a regional level, ensuring consistency in mobile content output.
* Community Management: Extend the Xiaomi Community to become a true imaging network.
* Social Media: Own and manage the Xiaomi Germany Instagram profile and actively engage with the community.
* Quality Control: Use content from core professional photographers as the "Professional Source" to ensure visual credibility.
* Targeted Content: Direct a pipeline of scenario-based content through mid-tier creators to ensure high-frequency social visibility.
Experience & Expertise
* European Industry Roots: 5+ years in the photography or imaging industry within Germany and/or Western Europe. Photo Journalism and/or PR background preferred.
* Networked Leader: You have experience in collaborating with photography institutions, media houses, and high-end professional photographers in Germany and ideally across WEU.
* Aesthetic Sensitivity: A deep understanding of "Leica Aesthetics" and professional imaging standards; you can distinguish between social trends and lasting artistic value.
Required Skills
* Strategic Connector: Proven ability to navigate a "top-to-bottom" influence model.
* Multicultural Management: Ability to lead a strategy in Germany while adapting it for the cultural nuances of the region.
* Communication: Exceptional storytelling and public speaking skills.
* Languages: Native-level German and fluent English are mandatory.
