Director / Senior Manager Payroll Delivery (f / m / d) - Global HCM Software Company (SaaS / Cloud)
Location: Remote in Germany
The Role
As the Director / Senior Manager Payroll Delivery (f / m / d), you will report directly to the VP of Managed Services (MS) EMEA and act as a key member of the leadership team of our client. The purpose of this role is the independent management and forward‑looking optimization of Managed Services Delivery practices to support the company’s growth ambitions in the German market. This position is responsible for ensuring scalable operations, driving business change, and strengthening the service strategy while embodying the mission to continuously improve the working lives of customers and employees.
Roles and Responsibilities
Business Change
* Lead all business change initiatives affecting Managed Services in Germany, including people, processes, systems, and financial dimensions.
* Areas of responsibility include :
* Organizational transformation and restructuring
* Outsourcing initiatives for managed services
* Deliver clear and effective communication related to business change within the EMEA region and the global MS community.
Business Operations – Internal
* Collaborate across functional areas to foster alignment, promote company culture, and ensure adherence to corporate policies.
* Oversee day-to-day operational activities, including financial performance and business efficiency, while ensuring a productive work environment.
* Ensure all business systems are compliant, effective, and accessible to relevant employees.
* Coach and develop the MS leadership team to enhance engagement, performance, and accountability.
* Lead recruitment initiatives to support growth and operational requirements.
* Manage relationships with key partners and vendors.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant European and German legal requirements as well as internal global policies.
* Develop and maintain Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans to safeguard business operations.
Business Operations – External / Customer‑Facing
* Represent Managed Services to German and global customers, handling escalations and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
* Act as part of the executive team in sales‑related activities, participating in conferences and presenting the Managed Services value proposition to prospects and clients.
* Partner with the Customer Success organization to anticipate and resolve customer challenges.
* Collaborate with the MS delivery organization to ensure operational excellence across key metrics such as revenue, profitability, product development, employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and risk management — all aligned with the annual objectives of our client.
Requirements
* Proven expertise in strategic planning and business development.
* Strong leadership, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
* Experience in senior leadership roles within a software, technology, or SaaS‑driven environment.
Broad experience in :
* Sales support and solution design
* Implementation and customer delivery leadership
* Operational service management and customer relationship oversight
* Managing complex customer escalations
* Understanding of key business functions such as HR, Finance, and Marketing.
* Working knowledge of data analysis, performance metrics, and IT / business infrastructure.
* Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication abilities.
* Recognized strength as a people leader and culture champion.
* Fluent German and English (written and spoken) are essential for this role.
