What you’ll do
As Senior Developer (f/m/d) you will work in the Sustainability Engineering unit building applications to help companies running their business in a more sustainable way and through that contributing to a more sustainable world for everyone. Sustainability is one of three “Growth Areas” at SAP which ensures a very dynamic and fascinating working environment. The teams are highly motivated to meet the quickly changing market demands by building cloud native applications in a continuous delivery working model. You will join us in this endeavor and help to design and engineer our applications in a secure way making sure to comply with SAP’s high product standards around security. We are looking for an experienced engineer (f/m/d) with a strong background in security
As Senior Backend Developer with Security focus (f/m/d) you will:
1. Work as key contact for security questions within Sustainability Engineering overlooking all applications in terms of security standards
2. Be the single point of contact to the corresponding BISO for Sustainability
3. Guide product development teams due to critical security case
4. Support development teams in data privacy related topics
5. Contribute to key development topics either within a development team or as part of a cross functional development team
6. The work will be hands-on including development tasks and setting up systems/tenants. It will also require thorough documentation as well as alignment with central groups, especially around security
What you bring
7. Profound experience in software engineering and a track record of business application data model design and architecture work
8. You should be familiar with Java or JavaScript, with SAP Security product standards and the HANA Database
9. Experience with DPP and related standards.
10. A strong network, especially in the security community would be beneficial
11. Fluent in spoken and written English, German would be a plus
Meet your team
The Sustainability Engineering unit consists of globally distributed development teams working on various applications. Based in Walldorf, you will work with teams in Potsdam, Brno, Munich, Markdorf, Sofia, Shanghai and Bangalore. The whole unit is very diverse in all dimensions, including the technical skills spanning from classical ABAP based applications to very young cloud-native products.
