KG Organization Gas Services Business Unit Solutions Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day The Site Manager Mechanical Construction (Mechanical Site Manager) supports General Site Management during the construction phase and is responsible for the safe, on time and on budget construction and installation of both Siemens Energy and third party supplied mechanical equipment and systems.Liaising with customer, mechanical project team, suppliers, contractors, civil and electrical team on site he gives technical support and advice to support above activities within his area of responsibility.He is responsible for the management of mechanical site personnel - both expat and local employees. He coordinates and directs external contractors for construction.How You’ll Make an Impact
4. Ensuring compliance with environmental, fire protection, and occupational health & safety regulations
5. Induction, instruction, coordination, and monitoring of contractors, including compliance assurance with schedules, specifications, contractual requirements, site regulations, and permit-to-work procedures
6. Clarification of contractor interfaces and provision of technical problem-solving solutions on site in coordination with responsible engineering
7. Execution of acceptance inspections, testing, and handover of contractor services and supplies, including joint inspections and coordination of deficiency resolution
8. Verification of field erection and as-built documentation for accuracy and completeness, as well as maintenance of progress reporting and daily construction logs
9. Internal reporting of non-conformances and deviations (CAPA), preparation of change documentation, and support of project reporting and cost accounting, including identification and documentation of additional costs and claim-relevant events
10. Support of contract and claims management, including review of billings, tracking of project costs, reporting of contractual deviations, and assistance in claim preparation and defense
11. Time schedule tracking, progress controlling (target vs. actual), management of site activities and additional works, assumption of site manager responsibilities, coordination with commissioning, and conduction of progress meetings with stakeholders
What You Bring
12. Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree, or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field
13. Several years’ experience in managing mechanical construction works on international project sites
14. Strong expertise in power plant systems and piping technology, including familiarity with applicable international codes and standards
15. Solid knowledge of international health and safety standards and regulations.
16. Sound understanding of welding procedures and quality standards in industrial construction environments
17. Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken; German language skills considered an advantage
