Overview
Senior Investment Manager (m/f/d) at Viessmann Generations Group. Location: Munich, regular travel required. Drive strategic growth and transformative M&A across a world-class sustainability portfolio.
Responsibilities
* Full-cycle ownership of M&A and strategic investment initiatives within a fast-evolving and diversified platform.
* Lead the process from initial market research and thesis development to closing and integration.
* Identify high-potential targets, build business cases, conduct due diligence, and steer negotiations—often directly with founders, managers or family owners.
* Assess risk and opportunity across different company profiles, construct valuation models, and synthesize insights from multiple stakeholders into clear recommendations.
* Collaborate with portfolio company leaders to support execution, growth, bolt-on acquisitions, or international expansion.
* Work with Viessmann’s board members and the investment team to ensure alignment across all stages of the investment journey.
* Build strong, trusted relationships internally and externally to unlock long-term value in a dynamic, mission-led environment.
What You Bring
* Seasoned investment professional with a strong foundation in both deal execution and portfolio management. Independently led multiple M&A transactions end-to-end and acted as the accountable lead.
* Buy-side experience, ideally within a corporate M&A team, private equity firm, family office, or entrepreneurial investment platform. Not purely investment banking or advisory without principal-side exposure.
* Ability to build, scale, and steer companies post-investment; capable of adapting to diverse business types and founder/manager personalities.
* Thrives in a wide opportunity funnel but knows when to zoom in with strategic clarity.
* Fluent in English and German (C1 level); clear communicator with humility, accountability, and hands-on drive.
