Your mission
In this role, you will support the Accountant & Tax function in an international energy company, working closely with external accounting and tax advisors and contributing to ERP and finance system development projects.
* Monitoring and analyzing the development of balance sheet accounts and cash flow statements prepared by the external accounting service provider
* Reviewing and validating VAT returns prepared by external tax advisors
* Supporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
* Contributing to the preparation and documentation of transfer pricing files
* Performing plausibility checks of travel expense reports, employee reimbursement claims, and hospitality cost documentation
* Supporting projects related to the enhancement of the ERP system (especially MS Business Central) and other finance‑related applications
* Collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders in an international environment
Your profile
* Commercial training or training with a tax advisor, including completed further training as an accountant and/or tax specialist
* At least 3-5 years of professional experience in the accounting department of an industrial company (ideally in the energy sector) or in auditing/tax consulting
* Interest in and foundational knowledge of international (European) VAT regulations, with willingness to further develop expertise
* Application-secure in the area of national and international (IFRS) accounting
* Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly advanced Excel skills
* Preferably: experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI)
* Advantageous: experience with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
* Strong command of English and experience working in an intercultural environment
