Based at our Heusenstamm location, we are seeking a Senior Process Engineer (m/f/d) for our Manufacturing Engineering centre of excellence within RD&E Concrete. In this role, you will serve as the Centre of Excellence expert and single point of contact, providing vital authority on and guardianship of best practices, process discipline, and equipment standards for a key process area across our network of concrete sites.
Your key responsibilities:
Process Authority: Serve as the Centre of Excellence expert and single point of contact within BMI for a key process area, providing authority on and guardianship of best practices and process discipline.
Standardization & Documentation: Collate, update, and maintain a central knowledge database of good practices, standardized equipment specifications, and process control standards across the network.
Benchmarking & Optimization: Evaluate processes, materials, hardware, and equipment across all sites to drive peak performance in product safety, operational cost, quality, and delivery.
Innovation & Capability: Author instructional documentation, provide oversight on machine operating parameters, and drive process capability by introducing new technologies and resource solutions.
Training & Compliance: Deliver and coordinate site training through Local Engineers (LoEs) to ensure staff alignment, while regularly auditing plant compliance and executing gap closure plans.
Performance Metrics: Own key operational KPIs, including improving equipment uptime/availability, issuing 'Licences to Operate', and successfully rolling out standardized network practices.
Your Profile:
Education & Experience: Degree in Engineering (or equivalent qualification and experience) with a proven track record in new technology introduction, equipment specification, process development, and training delivery.
Technical & Analytical Skills: Good data analytical skills with experience of LeanSigma and problem solving. Highly IT literate in MS Office or Google Suite with sharp analytical thinking and a strong appreciation for technical, human, and commercial issues.
Mobility & Languages: Currently living in the EU/UK with the flexibility to travel freely between European countries and work independently abroad. Fluent English is required; French, German, or Italian skills are beneficial.
Leadership & Teamwork: An open-minded team player with high cultural awareness, excellent networking skills, and a natural ability to coach, mentor, inspire and lead the manufacturing population.
