The successful candidate will be responsible for helping develop communications strategy and proactively managing activity with media and content creators to drive understanding and excitement around products, including iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and their software. The role will focus on driving fresh new ideas and implementing cutting-edge PR for Apple products, as well as related software and services, at the same time as broadening relationships with media and content creators. It covers new product introductions as well as momentum communications that increase awareness of existing products and features. You will bring high energy, an appetite for fresh storytelling, and the organizational skills to bring ideas to fruition. You will be excited by Apple’s products, not only as devices that keep people around the world connected, but as creative tools for entrepreneurs, photographers, filmmakers, musicians, and more. You will help us build new relationships with the communities that use our products and will be tasked with leading our efforts in finding new media and social platforms through which we can creatively tell those stories. You will be responsible for providing local insights into media and social trends, which will help shape strategy, connect locally, and deliver hyper-local execution of market plans. The successful candidate will work in partnership with a variety of other teams to create strategies and deliver campaigns that increase awareness and understanding of Apple’s products and their software. Significant experience in consumer PR, journalism or content creation, agency or corporate settings. Language skills: Fluency in English; one additional regional language preferred. Travel in Europe and the US. The ideal candidate will be ambitious with a real passion for technology and innovation. Extensive experience in PR and product communication, preferably working for a consumer brand. Creativity and the ability to transform understanding of local culture and consumers into stunning PR campaigns. Strong local knowledge and networks with media and content creators. Self-starter who is dedicated and demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities. Effective collaborator who will work cross-functionally across teams and geographies while demonstrating integrity at all times. Organizational skills, the ability to focus and simplify tasks while managing multiple projects and programs from start to finish. Works well under pressure, with proven experience working on complex, international, large-scale, time-critical projects. Highly motivated and passionate about Apple’s brand and products.
