Role Overview
As Head of Marketing, you will lead the strategic development and execution of all marketing initiatives for Lidl-Trek. You will be responsible for building the team's global brand presence, engaging fans, activating sponsor partnerships, leading commercialization initiatives and driving storytelling across all platforms, built around a fan-first mindset (Fandom).

Reports to: General Manager and Managing Directors, Lidl-Trek
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Travel: Frequent international travel required (race calendar, events, HQ visits)
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute the global fan-centric marketing strategy for Lidl-Trek across all channels (digital, social, experiential, PR).
* Lead and enable a cross-functional team of content creators, designers, communications specialists, hospitality and marketing implementation experts.
* Develop new revenue streams and lead business development initiatives.
* Provide strategic oversight for the relationships with key sponsors to ensure brand alignment and activation.
* Collaborate with global marketing teams of key partners to align messaging and leverage shared resources.
* Analyze campaign performance and fan engagement metrics to optimize future initiatives.
* Represent the team at major events, races, and sponsor activations.
Qualifications
* 7+ years of experience in sports marketing, brand management, or communications, ideally within a high-performance cycling or sports team.
* Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex projects.
* Deep understanding of fan psychology and sports cultures (proven record in fandom approaches is a plus)
* Strategic thinking and experience in building and evolving a marketing department.
* Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, and content strategy.
* Excellent communication and storytelling skills
* Able to fluently work and communicate in English (additional languages a plus).
* Passion for cycling and familiarity with the WorldTour calendar and culture.
* Willingness to travel extensively and work in a fast-paced, international environment.
