Schedule : Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 0730–1630 | No shift work required

What You’ll Do
As an Anesthesia Technician supporting the Pain Clinic and Functional Restoration Program (FRP), you will play a vital role in patient care, clinical support, and operational coordination.
Clinical & Technical Duties
* Prepare examination and procedure rooms prior to patient arrival.
* Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers.
* Measure and document vital signs (temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, blood pressure) using EHR systems.
* Obtain and record medical history, drug history, allergies, and chief complaints.
* Recognize urgent or emergent situations, alert clinical staff, and initiate appropriate emergency interventions.
* Support complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures—prepare patients, assist providers, manage instruments, and ensure equipment readiness.
* Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and equipment standards.
* Orient peers and ancillary staff to procedures and standards of care.
* Promote a healthy work environment and patient-centered care practices.
Functional Restoration Program (FRP) Support
* Schedule appointments and manage check-in/out processes using EHR.
* Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, psychologists, dietitians, therapists, and leadership.
* Ensure lodging coordination for participants residing more than 50 km from LRMC.
* Maintain supplies, equipment accountability, and class materials.
* Assist Physical and Occupational Therapists with patient exercises, screenings, and evaluations.
* Maintain and update patient tracker in Excel for accurate status reporting.
* Cross-train with Pain Management staff as necessary to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications
* Degree : Certificate.
* Education : High school diploma or equivalent, with additional training or education in anesthesia, surgery, or pain management.
* Experience : Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital or clinic within the last 3 years, with familiarity in anesthesia or pain management procedures.
* Certification :
o Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (must be obtained prior to start date and maintained throughout employment).
* Skills :
o Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Excel.
o Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
o Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional demeanor in all patient interactions.
