Senior Engineer (m/f/d) Suspension Design
. The successful candidates will be responsible for design projects and related documentation of various components and assemblies. You will undertake 2D-layouts, calculations, 3D design and development and design of sub-assemblies. The roles may also include definition of rig tests. Working closely as part of a team of designers, you will be in charge of producing designs (including the respective tooling) and drawings as well as providing full documentation in English. Your tasks:
* be a specialist and take the responsibility for motorsport projects e.g.:
* suspension design and development
* suspensions kinematic layout
* suspension calculation and validation
* manufacturing processes of suspension members
* welded assemblies
* ADM additive manufacturing and design including the tools required for design of ADM parts
* be responsible for conceptual and detail design of race suspensions
* undertake suspensions kinematic layouts, calculation and validation of suspensions
* be in charge of producing designs (including the respective tooling) and drawings as well as providing full documentation in English
* ensure on-time delivery of projects within agreed cost limits
The successful candidate will:
* have a degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or equivalent
* have very good design skills in conjunction with good knowledge of state-of-the-art technology and materials
* display high level knowledge and relevant experience in motorsport parts layout and the design of high performance components in the area of e.g. F1, WEC, WRC or DTM, GT3, GT4
* have interest in supporting our automotive engineering prototype projects as well
* be proficient with CATIA V5: solids, surfaces & drafting, FEM and the classical calculation methods, data management systems (Teamcenter) and MS Office
* be a team player who demonstrates a responsible, analytical and creative working style with solid project management capabilities, good interpersonal skills and a flexible approach to working hours as well as the ability to deliver high quality to tight deadlines
