Executive Housekeeper Position Overview
This role focuses on leading the housekeeping department to maintain high standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
Main Responsibilities:
* Scheduling Management: Ensure optimal service delivery through flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
* Daily Operations: Maintain daily procedures adhering to hotel policies and protocols.
* Team Development: Train team members, ensuring all required training is completed according to standards.
* Business Analysis: Analyze daily business levels, anticipate challenges, and implement solutions to expedite critical situations.
* Work Schedule Creation: Create weekly work schedules based on staffing guidelines and labor forecasts, adjusting as needed.
* Reporting: Complete end-of-month reports promptly to standard.
* Guest Services: Assist staff with their job functions to provide exceptional guest service.
* Cleaning and Organization: Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned areas.
* Employee Performance: Manage employee performance to ensure productivity and a positive work environment.
Requirements and Qualifications:
* Housekeeping Experience: 1-3 years of experience in housekeeping management within the hospitality industry.
* Literacy and Communication Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Effective communication skills to interact with guests, management, and coworkers.
* Education: High school graduate or equivalent; some college preferred.
* Language Proficiency: Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
* Cleaning Knowledge: Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling, equipment use, and requirements.
