KG Organization Transformation of Industry Business Unit Sustainable Energy Systems Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day Product Design Engineering focuses on designing and developing new or existing products, components, or assemblies including applying engineering principles to develop mechanical, electronic, or chemical products that meet customer technical/functional specifications as well as manufacturing cost/efficiency requirements. How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Actively driving the development of our water electrolyzer systems
2. Responsibility for process engineering design and simulation of water electrolyzer systems
3. Taking the lead in designing test stands for electrolyzer modules and components
4. Representing the interface between stack and balance of stack
5. Supporting risk assessment and HAZOP studies
6. Planning and executing system- and component tests including documentation and interpretation of results
7. Closely collaborating with the stack design team and other disciplines
8. Technical contact person for project engineering and commissioning colleagues
What You Bring
9. Successfully completed studies in the field of process engineering, chemical engineering or comparable disciplines
10. Many years of experience in electrolysis technology development, with focus on process and system engineering
11. In-depth knowledge of water electrolysis technology, especially alkaline (AEL, AEM)
12. Proven experience in engineering of water electrolysis systems incl. a strong hands-on mentality
13. Sound knowledge of P&ID methodology as well as competence in engineering tools like COMOS
14. Proficiency in process simulation software like Aspen Plus or similar as well as knowledge of relevant codes & standards, PED, LVD, ISO 22734
15. Willingness to work in interdisciplinary teams to develop joint innovative solutions
16. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels including proficiency in German and English
