Your tasks
Quality and construction inspection: Conducting demanding tests based on predefined test specifications directly at the subcontractors' premises and on board the ships.
Construction supervision & documentation: Professional construction supervision on board, maintenance of the assembly-specific weight calculation as well as careful document management (control and creation of construction documents).
Reporting & deviation management: Preparation of precise status reports as well as recording and tracking of discrepancy reports in the event of construction deviations.
Interface function & communication: Participation in status and planning meetings, tracking of deliveries, outstanding items and defects, and close coordination with project management, supplier management and purchasing.
Your profile
Successful foundation: Completed (Bachelor's) studies in the field of mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, shipbuilding, nautical science, business administration or a comparable qualification (e.g. training as a shipping clerk).
Professional experience: Initial to several years of professional experience (2-5 years) in a comparable position, ideally in the maritime industry or in the environment of the German Armed Forces.
Security & Willingness to Travel: Ideally, you have a valid security clearance (Ü2 VpS) for handling classified information (VS-NfD) or can obtain one. You also need to be willing to travel up to 10% of the time and hold a Class B driver's license.
Work style & soft skills: A structured, meticulous work style as well as strong solution-oriented thinking, communication skills and excellent organizational and time management.
