The Role
Black Semiconductor is looking for an experienced Senior Manager People Operations & Mobility to lead and scale our People Operations and Global Mobility as the company continues to grow. In this role, you will take ownership of core people operations, employee lifecycle processes, and international mobility, ensuring our systems, policies, and workflows are robust, compliant, and built to scale.
You will play a key role in professionalizing day-to-day people operations, reducing dependency on senior leadership for operational decisions, and acting as the primary escalation point for complex people and mobility cases. This is a hands-on role, combining ownership and execution in a fast-growing, international environment.
What You'll Do
* Lead and scale People Operations and Global Mobility to support rapid company growth across multiple locations.
* Own core employee lifecycle processes, including contracts, onboarding, changes, off-boarding, and compliance.
* Manage immigration, visas, and international mobility programs, working closely with immigration and relocation vendors.
* Build and continuously improve scalable people operations systems, processes, and SOPs.
* Reduce operational dependency on senior leadership by establishing clear ownership, structure, and decision frameworks.
* Act as the primary escalation point for complex people-related, mobility, and compliance cases.
* Partner closely with senior stakeholders to ensure people operations effectively support business priorities.
Your Profile
* 8-12+ years of experience in People Operations / HR, ideally within scaling tech, engineering, or high-growth organizations.
* Proven experience managing immigration, visas, and international mobility programs, including hands-on collaboration with immigration and relocation vendors.
* Growth mindset with a hands-on, proactive approach, comfortable operating independently and taking ownership.
* Strong experience building processes, SOPs, and scalable HR infrastructure.
* High emotional intelligence (EQ), with the ability to build trust and act with professionalism and integrity.
* Fluency in German (minimum C1) and English.
* Strong experience working with HRIS systems, ideally Personio (required); experience with Workday or SAP SuccessFactors is a plus.
* Familiarity with payroll and benefits administration systems.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365.
