Tasks
Our team, based in Zuffenhausen, is involved in the production of series vehicles. The construction status variables for each vehicle, including control-relevant data in electrical systems, electronics, and software (such as software variants, control unit info, data sets), must be documented. Due to the high degree of customization in Porsche vehicles, there is significant variance in these variables, increasing control effort. The data is stored in databases within the plant's testing system and made accessible to sales and after-sales via cloud solutions.
The master's thesis aims to develop a software solution that, using various data sources (database, cloud data, log data), cyclically verifies whether all construction status data has been properly documented for sample vehicles, according to specifications.
Start: June 15, 2025
Duration: 6 months
You can expect to undertake:
1. Research to analyze and consolidate the documentation process for electrical, electronic, and software components during series production.
2. Systematic analysis of data sources and automation of data connections.
3. Development of requirements for a validation tool to perform random completeness testing of documentation.
4. Conceptual design and technical implementation of the software solution.
5. Creation of documentation and user guides to integrate the tool into the process.
