Quest Search & Selection is currently recruiting for a Commercial Marketplace Director. The role will be reporting to the Country MD and will support market expansion, execute local strategies, and build strong supplier capabilities. Working with the leadership team, you will help deliver quality, innovation, and a premium customer experience while driving sustainable growth in the German market.

The roles & responsibilities of this Commercial Marketplace Director role:
* Support development and execution of Germany market strategy aligned with long-term vision and growth objectives.
* Drive revenue growth by building and managing relationships with local brands, merchants, suppliers, and ecosystem partners.
* Assist in setting budgets, forecasts, and financial targets for the German market.
* Identify and evaluate high-potential opportunities across retail, logistics, supply chain, and strategic partnerships.
* Support hiring, coaching, and development of high-performing teams.
* Contribute to market analysis, competitive positioning, and strategic initiatives to strengthen presence in Germany.
* Track P&L performance, support profitability improvement, and contribute to growth planning.
* Help embed a customer-focused, efficient, and innovative culture aligned with core values.
* Participate in investment decisions, risk management, and capital allocation.
* Facilitate effective communication between local teams and headquarters.
The qualifications of this Commercial Marketplace Director role:
* Strong senior management experience within e-commerce, retail, Q-commerce, or other technology-driven industries.
* Demonstrated experience in P&L ownership, business scaling, and revenue growth across Germany
* C2 level German or above is highly desirable
* Deep understanding of the German retail and commerce environment, including consumer behaviour and competitive landscape.
* Ideally having experience launching or scaling international brands within Germany or broader European markets.
* Experience in omnichannel retail, marketplace operations, or smart fulfilment network management.
