Your role We’re looking for a hands-on Working Student in IT Support to keep our Cologne office running smoothly day to day. You’ll be the go-to person locally for practical tech support — from docking stations that won't connect to setting up new team members with their equipment. You'll work alongside our IT Operations Manager in Chennai to keep things running smoothly. What you’ll do Provide first-level hardware and software support for Windows and macOS devices Troubleshoot common office issues (docking stations, monitors, peripherals, printers, Wi-Fi connectivity) Set up and configure laptops and accounts for new joiners (IT onboarding) Maintain hardware inventory and support asset tracking (lifecycle, replacements, returns) Handle support requests via ticket system and in person, ensuring clear documentation Coordinate with the remote IT team on escalations and more complex incidents Proactively identify recurring issues and help improve processes and office setup Your Profile You are currently enrolled in a degree program in IT, Computer Science, or a related field Practical experience troubleshooting Windows and macOS Hands-on familiarity with business laptops (ideally Mac, Dell and Lenovo ThinkPad) Solid understanding of troubleshooting for Microsoft 365 (especially Outlook and Teams) and experience with WiFi connectivity troubleshooting Confidence working with typical office hardware (docks, monitors, conference equipment, printers) A structured, service-oriented mindset: you can prioritize, communicate clearly, and follow through Fluent in English (German is a plus) Nice to have Experience with Microsoft 365 administration (user/device setup, permissions, etc.) Previous experience in IT support/helpdesk or ticketing environments Why us?
