Overview
Global Director of Sales - Filtration role at Eaton. Located in Germany, you will develop and execute the global sales, customer, and technical services strategy in support of sustainable revenue and market growth. You will have the opportunity to lead a global sales organization of about 200 team members via 7 direct reports, achieving sales/orders, market share, price, product mix, and financial metrics. As part of the Filtration Division’s leadership team, you will define and implement comprehensive sales initiatives and programs supporting 4 business units while driving collaboration across the enterprise.
What You’ll Do
* Develop global growth strategies to achieve division goals.
* Manage key customer relationships using industry knowledge and expertise to forge and maintain relationships with key distributors.
* Coordinate global product portfolios and provide strategic guidance in new product development.
* Participate in business growth, operational excellence, strategic and profit planning, organizational capability and other planning processes.
* Ensure the use of up-to-date intelligence on business, markets, customers, and competition to create strategies regarding products, pricing, quality, credit and service to maintain and develop new business opportunities.
* Develop sales and market forecasts, departmental budgets and maintain up-to-date product P&L data.
* Participate in key customer and distributor interactions (trade shows, industry events) to generate new or expand existing revenues and relationships.
* Lead the sales organization to ensure Eaton is positioned to outgrow the business’s markets.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in the development of customer contracts.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in business or technical field (MBA preferred).
* Minimum of 12 years of experience in sales, marketing, general business with 5+ years direct people management in a similar scope/scale role.
* Experience in the Filtration industry.
* Proven success leading teams in both direct and distributor/channel partner models.
* Demonstrated success achieving sales, profit, and growth goals.
* Prior P&L experience preferred.
* Previous experience with talent selection, recruitment, and conflict resolution.
