Overview
This Head of Network Management role is established within LSS Order Management to support a significant production ramp-up. The position is critical for ensuring end-to-end internal coordination of component supply across a global network of Siemens Energy locations and business areas, in order to maintain delivery reliability and protect business margins. To address this, the role focuses on three core areas: strategic network management to align supply chain capacity with long-term goals, operational leadership to steer material flows and ensure stable execution, and cross-functional process optimization to enable faster decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in supply chain planning within a complex industrial environment, strong leadership skills to manage a team of professionals, and a proven ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives across various business functions.
Responsibilities
40% Strategic Supply Network Management
Develop and implement long-term supply chain strategies to address capacity constraints and production location decisions in alignment with business goals.
Monitor key Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) performance indicators and cost-to-serve data to identify strategic improvement opportunities.
Lead the coordination for new product launches and major projects, ensuring the supply network is prepared for changes in demand.
Establish proactive steering mechanisms for material flows to safeguard customer commitments and business performance at scale.
40% Operational Leadership and Execution
Manage a team of experienced supply chain professionals, providing direction, setting priorities, and fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
Oversee the end-to-end internal coordination of component supply to ensure on-time delivery and stable execution during the load ramp-up.
Coordinate internal network component load and capacity demand across multiple Siemens Energy locations (e.g., BUD, ERF, FPY, NCL) and business areas.
Act as the primary point of escalation for difficult and complex supply chain issues, driving rapid and effective resolution.
Ensure the team effectively utilizes planning systems (e.g., SAP) for material requirements planning, inventory control, and production planning.
20% Cross-Functional Collaboration and Process Improvement
Influence policies, practices, and procedures in adjacent functions such as procurement, manufacturing, and engineering to improve overall supply chain effectiveness.
Lead cross-functional work teams to design and implement process improvements that enable faster decision-making and more reliable material flow.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives, applying methodologies like Lean to enhance efficiency and reduce waste within the supply chain.
Certifications
APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Extensive experience in supply chain planning and operations, preferably within a complex industrial or manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in a management role, leading teams of experienced professionals and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
