Location: Leipzig, Germany or Boom, Belgium
Full-time | Hybrid
Our client is looking for a Material Planner to join their European Supply Chain team.
A proactive professional who combines strong analytical skills with a commercial mindset someone who ensures stock reliability, builds lasting supplier relationships, and contributes directly to operational excellence.
The Challenge
As a Material Planner, youll manage a portfolio of suppliers, ensuring that stock levels and order volumes align with internal guidelines and business needs.
Youll act as the first point of contact for escalations, lead supplier communication, and identify ways to improve efficiency and supply continuity across the network.
What Youll Do
 * Monitor and analyze stock levels, lead times, sales trends, and supply risks.
 * Lead escalation processes with suppliers regarding lead time, pricing, or quality issues.
 * Keep internal stakeholders (customer service, logistics, finance, etc.) updated on supply status.
 * Manage backorders and find solutions to minimize impact on service levels.
 * Evaluate supplier performance in terms of delivery accuracy, price, and quality.
 * Lead yearly price negotiations and sourcing activities.
 * Manage claims for incorrect or defective deliveries and drive issue resolution.
 * Contribute to the development of new product lines or suppliers.
What Were Looking For
Must-Haves
 * Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
 * 1 to 3 years experience in stock planning, operational procurement, or similar.
 * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
 * Excellent English communication; German is a plus.
 * Proficiency in MS Office and SAP (or similar ERP).
 * Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
 * Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive team player.
