About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Senior Energy Technical Lead to join our team in Germany. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving growth and excellence across our energy portfolio, particularly within the electrical grid modernization, energy generation, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and heat networks.
Key Responsibilities
* Leadership and Strategy:
o Develop and implement AECOM's Energy strategy in Germany.
o Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.
o Drive business development activities to expand AECOM's energy transition portfolio.
o Define and execute clear project and program delivery strategies.
* Project Delivery and Technical Excellence:
o Lead multidisciplinary teams across regions and business lines.
o Ensure technical solutions comply with German and EU regulations, grid codes, safety, and environmental standards.
o Oversee the delivery of high-quality projects on time and within budget.
o Provide expert guidance and serve as lead verifier for feasibility studies, design reports, and technical documentation.
o Ensure accurate technical and financial reporting to senior leadership.
o Manage contracts and ensure full compliance with AECOM requirements.
* Team Development and Innovation:
o Build, mentor, and lead AECOM's Energy team in Germany.
o Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and digital innovation.
o Support technical skills development and capability building within the team.
o Champion operational excellence and best practices in energy project delivery.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have a strong background in HV/MV/LV electrical systems and a degree in Engineering, preferably with a specialization in High Voltage Electrical Engineering. Data Center experience is an advantage. Minimum 15 years of professional experience, ideally within the energy sector (public and/or private).
