Product Strategy and Developments:
AZ Direct Accounting & Reporting provides reliable, high quality financial information to management, investors, analysts, regulators and the general public through internal and external reporting. As Senior Accounting and Closing Expert you will be part of the Accounting & Reporting Team for Allianz Direct.
The Accounting and Closing AZ Direct team is responsible for all internal and external accounting, closing and reporting requirements of the AZ SE subsidiary Allianz Direct Versicherungs-AG under IFRS, HGB and Solvency II. The team's responsibilities range from preparing monthly, quarterly and annual closings, providing accounting policy guidance and analyzing financial data to preparing the presentation of results and reporting of financial information to various internal and external stakeholders, such as Management, Supervisors, Auditors and the Public.
Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
Qualifications:
* University degree – preferably in Accounting, Finance,
* Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics
* Excellent technical skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - VBA/Macro knowledge is a plus
* Fluent written and conversational skills in German and English
Experience & Key skills:
* Multiple years of professional experience (5+) in the fields of accounting, finance or financial reporting area, ideally in the (re)insurance sector
* Alternatively, you have +5 years of experience as an auditor in financial services
* Profound HGB, IFRS and Solvency II accounting skills
* Solid experience with accounting systems, ideally SAP
* Proactive approach and hands-on mentality
* Open-minded and motivated team player, highly organized and very well structured
* High resilience and the talent to keep a cool head even in turbulent situations, high result orientation
* Highly organized and very well structured, excellent analytical skills
* You have a high affinity for insurance and financial market topics and enjoy driving digitalization
Tasks:
As a Senior Expert in Accounting & Closing for AZ Direct, your responsibilities include preparing the HGB annual financial statements and supporting regulatory reporting. You will also contribute to the IFRS Group financial statements, ensuring the IFRS financial closing and the respective IFRS and MVBS reporting to AZ Group are completed accurately.
In this role, you will ensure smooth communication and collaboration with many different stakeholders, maintaining high-quality delivery of accounting, closing, and reporting services. Your expertise will be crucial in upholding the integrity and reliability of financial data, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. The Responsibility within this role is a Senior Expert Role for Non Technical Accounting.
