To strengthen our dynamic and global IT team, we are looking for an experienced IT Security Analyst (m/f/d).

As IT Security Analyst (m/f/d) you will be responsible for implementing & maintaining IT Security systems, and for monitoring, analysing, and responding to cybersecurity threats across the organization's systems and networks. This role is critical for identifying potential security incidents and working to protect sensitive information from cyber threats.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems.

Location: Bergkirchen (Germany) / Cesena (Italy) | Full-time

Job Description

1. Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM, MDR and other monitoring tools.
2. Analyse logs and security data to detect suspicious activity and anomalies.
3. Respond to incidents, triage threats, and escalate when necessary.
4. Assist in threat hunting and digital forensic investigations.
5. Maintain incident response documentation and assist with compliance audits (eg PCI).
6. Perform security validation of new applications and platforms, including adherence to SOC2, privacy, and internal cyber standards
7. Perform regular vulnerability scans and support patch management processes.
8. Collaborate with IT teams to enhance security controls and reduce risk exposure.
9. Support Zero Trust methodologies throughout network resources and platforms.
10. Provide input into the development of security policies and awareness programs.
11. Implement, maintain and improve Cybersecurity standards and systems.
12. Any other security related tasks as required by the business.

Qualifications

13. Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
14. 2–4 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT support with security responsibilities.
15. Experience with tools such as SIEMs, MDR, IDS/IPS, Vulnerability Scanners, endpoint protection, and encryption technologies.
16. Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, PCi or other security frameworks.
17. Relevant certifications preferred: CompTIA Security+, SSCP, GSEC, or similar.
18. Understanding of current security protocols, threat landscape, and technologies.
19. Familiarity with cloud security practices (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
20. Experience within Microsoft 365 environment including Security, Compliance, Purview, etc.
21. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
22. Strong communication skills with the ability to convey and support complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
23. Ability to work with cross-functional teams collaboratively across departments, including globally.

Additional Information

Working Conditions:

24. Full-time position; may require after-hours work in case of emergencies.
25. On-site work depending on organizational needs.
26. May involve occasional travel for training or vendor meetings.
