Field of activity
The basic and cross-sectional area GQ 1400 DRV-IT rvSystem is responsible for the development of the German Pension Insurance's core IT system - reliable, secure and future-oriented.
Our department includes management, development and cross-sectional teams for the existing core system, including online services for our policyholders, as well as project management and teams for our ongoing agile large-scale project to modernize our applications. It is important to us that we work together as Team rv-System in a cooperative, respectful and non-discriminatory manner.
Your tasks
* Strategic and operational management of the department and responsibility for personnel and specialist areas for around 200 employees
* Actively planning, controlling and monitoring the development process and progress in the divisions and teams by establishing and applying key figures, processes and methods
* Designing change processes in the development of the core IT system, for example the further transformation to agile working methods
* Instructing and developing employees with regard to methodological, technological and procedural skills in system development and compliance with standards and quality
* Promoting the motivation, personal development and loyalty of employees as well as active cooperation in further personnel recruitment
* Developing and initiating new solutions and approaches
* Sovereign representation of the DRV Bund on fundamental and cross-sectional tasks in internal pension insurance and national committees and vis-à-vis national institutions, for example ministries
Your profile
* Successfully completed university degree (Master's or comparable) in the field of computer science, business informatics, legal informatics, mathematics, natural sciences or engineering
* Many years of current, task-relevant professional experience with leadership and management responsibility in the IT sector with a focus on software development
* In-depth, up-to-date knowledge of standards, programming languages (e.g. Java; knowledge of Cobol desirable) and software development technologies
* Up-to-date practical knowledge of common control instruments and management tools in software development
* Sound knowledge and experience in the management of large IT projects
* Up-to-date knowledge of the relevant areas of law, for example data protection and IT security; knowledge of social security or administrative law desirable
* Excellent written and spoken German, good written and spoken English skills
* Strong holistic and strategic thinking, structured way of working, success-oriented creative drive and assertiveness
* High willingness to change and innovate
* Excellent communication skills appropriate to the target group and strong customer orientation
* Willingness to regularly travel throughout Germany for several days
