About the role
For our Sustainability Support Team within the PLD business, we are looking for a working student with up to 20 h / week for 1 year to support our team as soon as possible. The position can be located in Munich, Mannheim, Neuss or Witzenhausen.
What You Will Do
1. Support desk research on emerging sustainability norms, regulations, and country-specific standards (e.g., bio-mass, life cycle assessment).
2. Assist in coordinating data collection from suppliers and production sites, ensuring timely and accurate input for sustainability assessments.
3. Help prepare presentations and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
4. Contribute to ongoing sustainability projects, including communication and follow-up with multiple stakeholders.
5. Gain insights into corporate sustainability practices, life cycle thinking, and the dynamics of the PLD business.
Who You Are
6. Currently enrolled in a university program in Sustainability, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
7. Interested in environmental topics, circular economy, and eco-design as they relate to products and operations.
8. Familiarity with life cycle assessment standards (ISO 14040/14044) and sustainability frameworks is a plus.
9. Awareness of LCA software tools (e.g., SimaPro, GaBi) is desirable.
10. Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data.
11. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
12. Well-organized with strong time management and project coordination skills.
