EMEA Recruitment has partnered with an international industrial business to strengthen its Finance & Controlling function. We are seeking a Finance Business Partner based in either Hanover or Freiburg area.
In this role, you will act as a key partner to the local Managing Director in Germany and the European Head of After Sales. You will provide financial insights, analysis, and decision support to both organizations, helping drive transparency, accuracy, and effective financial performance.
You will play an important role in monitoring commercial performance, margins, and pricing strategies, while supporting the development of sound commercial decisions. The role also ensures consistency in accounting and reporting practices in line with group reporting standards across Germany and the wider European After Sales organization.
You will report directly to the Head of Controlling Sales Europe within the group finance structure.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Business Partnering – Germany
* Partner with the Managing Director to manage the P&L, including revenue, margins, and overheads
* Drive and monitor commercial KPIs such as pricing, product mix, volume, and customer profitability
* Lead FP&A activities including monthly reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
* Analyze sales, pricing, costs, and working capital to identify performance improvements
* Collaborate with Sales teams to challenge assumptions and enhance profitability
Finance Business Partnering – European After Sales
* Partner with the European Head of After Sales to improve profitability across countries and service lines
* Consolidate and analyze performance, identifying growth and efficiency opportunities
* Work with local finance teams to standardize reporting and KPI frameworks
* Support pricing strategies, investment cases, and business model development
Controlling, Reporting & Projects
* Deliver high quality management reporting across Germany and European After Sales
* Develop financial models, dashboards, and business cases
* Ensure alignment with group finance standards and reporting frameworks
* Contribute to cross functional initiatives such as digital transformation and cost optimization
Your Background
* Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
* 3 to 5 years’ experience in finance, FP&A, or controlling, ideally in a commercial environment
* Experience in an international or industrial business is advantageous
* Advanced Excel and SAP experience
* Fluent in English and German
* Proactive, hands on, and able to work independently in an international environment
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
