Your mission
We're pioneering real-time metabolic imaging through MRI that transforms how cancer is treated. We've built a dynamic and interdisciplinary team that has made key innovations in quantum physics, organic chemistry and engineering.
Join our mission as Electrical Design Engineer (m/f/d) and own the development of electrical subsystems from concept to production. You design and prototype new systems, coordinate assembly and testing and follow the design through to production in close collaboration with our product development partners.
Design and system-level architecture
* You design electrical circuits and cabinets for our prototypes and products and create technical documentation such as wiring diagrams and electrical BOM in EPLAN Electric P8
* You specify and select the components for electrical cabinets, including power supplies, safety circuits and Beckhoff PLC modules.
* In the system design and specification process, you collaborate with system, mechanical and automation engineers and cover the electrical design aspects.
* You support the selection of sensors and actuators such as valves, pumps, motors and pressure sensors regarding their electrical specifications and interface.
Prototyping and testing
* You create assembly documents for electrical cabinets.
* You participate in the assembly and wiring of our prototypes.
* You support commissioning, component and system testing together with our PLC automation engineers.
* You identify and resolve electrical issues on new and existing systems.
Technology transfer and product development
* You collaborate with our product development partner and provide technical expertise for electrical topics throughout the product development process.
Your profile
* Academic degree or completed vocational training (ideally with completed training as Staatlich Geprüfter Techniker) in electrical engineering or a related field.
* 3 years professional experience as electrical designer for machines, ideally in the field of custom machine design.
* Experience in EPLAN Electric P8 or a similar electrical design tool.
* Experience in commissioning and testing of electrical subsystems.
* PLC programming skills are considered a plus.
* Skilled in devising creative solutions and working independently.
* Interdisciplinary mindset and passion for hands-on work.

We are developing a technology that will enable MRI-based imaging of real-time metabolism in the body, with tremendous potential for research and applications in oncology, cardiology, neurology and more. Our company brings together expertise in physics, chemistry, engineering and medicine, and we are collaborating with scientists and clinicians from top medical and research centers such as Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York, MD Anderson in Texas, Technical University of Munich, Cambridge University in the UK and more.
NVision is developing fast, robust and easy-to-use hyperpolarization technology for preclinical and clinical research in our POLARIS product line. Those devices are placed close to an MRI scanner in a research or clinical environment to produce hyperpolarized contrast agents on demand in a fast, fully-automated, multi-step chemical process. Key steps of the process contain fluidic transport across multiple vessels and chemical mixing and separation processes in fully-reuseable or single-use disposable fluid paths. We develop our commercial products jointly with external design and manufacturing partners and the process development as well as the design and manufacturing of prototypes is done entirely in-house.
