About This Role
We are seeking a Key Account Manager - Sales (D-A-CH) to join our Sales - Data Centre division. This role is based in Herne, Germany, and requires a proactive professional to manage key accounts, develop new business opportunities, and contribute to our mission of driving industrial transformation through innovation and sustainability.
As a Key Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and strengthening existing customer relationships while identifying and securing new partnerships. You will also support contract and price negotiations, monitor market developments, and collaborate closely with various sales teams and production facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support and develop existing customer relationships and key accounts.
* Identify opportunities for new business and establish new partnerships.
* Conduct and support contract and price negotiations within the D-A-CH region.
* Monitor and evaluate market trends and competitive activities.
* Provide input and support during the offer evaluation and preparation phases.
* Assess the suitability of existing technical solutions for potential applications.
* Compile and enhance technical descriptions where necessary.
* Visit customers, participate in trade fairs, and collaborate with sales teams across multiple regions.
What We’re Looking For
* A degree in engineering (e.g., mechanical engineering or process engineering).
* Several years of experience in sales of capital goods requiring technical explanation, ideally with a background in data centres.
* Strong performance, commitment, and a willingness to travel.
* Experience in contract negotiations.
* Proficiency in the latest MS Office programmes.
* Excellent communication skills and a strong technical understanding.
* A proactive, solution-focused, and customer-oriented approach to sales.
* High levels of commitment, determination, independence, and reliability.
* Business fluency in English.
