Research Associate (all genders) - Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry

Are you ready to join our high-caliber Omics Research Team within Translational Sciences of the RED CVRI Cluster as a Research Assistant (all genders) specializing in Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry? In this pivotal role, you will leverage state-of-the-art research equipment, methodologies, and materials to discover and validate new biomarkers, making a significant contribution to the molecular understanding of diseases.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. You receive, sort, and register samples in compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Good Research Practice (GRP)
2. Preparing biofluids and tissue samples for LC-MS analysis is part of your daily work
3. You develop and execute methods for sample analysis using both targeted and untargeted LC-MS acquisition techniques
4. Adhering to and enhancing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), HSE protocols, and internal working procedures is second nature to you
5. You review data and prepare reports in accordance with templates and SOPs
6. Coordinating maintenance and repairs of laboratory equipment with service technicians falls within your responsibilities
7. You calibrate laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance
8. Maintaining an accurate inventory of instruments and samples is part of your role
9. You actively engage in process improvement initiatives
10. Ensuring a clean and organized workplace is a matter of course for you
11. You contribute to the creation and review of task-related documentation and processes

WHO YOU ARE

12. A degree in chemical, biological, or a related field is an advantage
13. You bring at least initial experience in LC and MS analysis
14. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software is part of your skill set
15. Highly motivated and results-oriented, you work independently and collaboratively to achieve goals
16. Strong attention to detail and accuracy define your work
17. Your excellent organizational skills enable you to prioritize tasks effectively
18. You are adaptable and eager to learn new techniques and procedures
19. Capable of communicating complex ideas clearly and concisely
20. You possess strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
21. Proficiency in German is required; English language skills are an advantage
