Overview
BIOWEG is seeking a Procurement, ESG and Impact Analysis Associate to join our team. In this role, you will manage procurement of raw materials, consumables and goods while ensuring that our operations follow ESG principles and sustainability best practices. You will also support the evaluation of the environmental and social impact of our supply chain, helping drive responsible growth in our biotechnology startup.
Your Role
* Handle sourcing and purchasing of raw materials, consumables and equipment for R&D and operations. Build strong vendor relationships and negotiate favorable terms
* Ensure procurement practices align with ESG standards and sustainability goals. Monitor supplier compliance and performance
* Collect and analyze data on the environmental and social impact of procured goods, including resource use and carbon footprint
* Identify opportunities for greener sourcing and more responsible supply chain practices
* Work closely with internal teams to integrate procurement and impact analysis into projects and prepare clear reports for stakeholders
Your Profile
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Sustainability, Environmental Studies or related fields
* Experience in procurement, ESG, sustainability or impact analysis
* Knowledge of ESG frameworks and sustainability metrics
* Strong analytical and reporting skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English, both verbal and written
* Proficiency in German language is a plus
