Your Tasks
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Sourcing to lead our sourcing activities within the European trade-in/recommerce industry. You will be responsible for developing and executing our sourcing strategy, establishing new and developing existing key partnerships. In this role, you will continuously identify market trends and best practices to develop our market position. You will work on offers, tenders, and sourcing documents. A deep understanding of the European trade-in/recommerce landscape, strong negotiation skills, and a commitment to excellence are essential.
* Develop and implement a comprehensive sourcing strategy for channels such as trade-in, ITAD, and global trading.
* Identify, evaluate, and onboard potential new suppliers while fostering long-term relationships with existing partners.
* Build and expand a robust professional sourcing network and strengthen our position in the recommerce industry.
* Control supplier performance and establish metrics to evaluate supplier effectiveness.
* Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
* Stay informed of competitors and market trends.
* Collaborate with our US-based corporate headquarters and international teams to align sourcing and operational objectives.
* Manage and mentor the sourcing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
* Coordinate sourcing forecasting, budgeting, planning, and process optimization.
You will report to the Vice President of Mobility.
Your Qualifications
* 8+ years of leadership experience in a fast-growing, service-focused industry, preferably in sourcing and sales within the mobile device industry, recommerce, global trading, ITAD, or similar fields.
* Strong understanding of the electronic device lifecycle, pricing, and market dynamics in recommerce.
* Proven track record in developing sourcing strategies and managing supplier relationships effectively.
* Effective communicator at all levels, both internally and with customers.
* Demonstrated ability to drive business development and manage stakeholder relationships.
* Strategic, commercial mindset with excellent analytical skills.
* Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
* Ability to navigate ambiguity in complex international environments.
* Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive approach.
* Willingness to travel approximately 30%.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills in English; German skills are a plus.
