Outsourcing Officer
We're partnering with a world-leading financial technology group with a major presence in Germany to appoint an experienced
Outsourcing Officer
. This is a key, high-impact role offered on either a
contract
or
permanent
basis.
You'll take ownership of the company's outsourcing and third-party governance framework, ensuring full compliance with
AT 9 ZAG-MaRisk
and related regulatory obligations. Working closely with senior leadership, Legal, Risk, and Compliance, you'll oversee critical outsourced services and strengthen the company's risk management and governance standards across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all outsourcing governance and oversight activities in line with AT 9 ZAG-MaRisk and internal policies.
* Maintain complete and up-to-date documentation for all outsourcing and sub-outsourcing arrangements.
* Advise senior management and business units on regulatory outsourcing requirements and best practices.
* Lead contract negotiations with service providers, ensuring SLAs and KPIs align with business, risk, and data protection objectives.
* Conduct or oversee risk assessments for new and existing outsourcing relationships, including materiality and criticality evaluations.
* Monitor ongoing outsourcing risks, including concentration and operational risk, and prepare management reports.
* Develop and maintain robust business continuity and exit strategies for critical outsourced services.
* Continuously review and enhance the outsourcing management framework to reflect evolving regulatory expectations.
* Engage with regulators and auditors to provide clear, timely, and accurate reporting on outsourcing compliance.
Profile Sought
* 7+ years' experience in outsourcing governance, third-party risk, or regulatory compliance within financial services.
* Deep understanding of AT 9 ZAG-MaRisk and broader EBA outsourcing guidelines.
* Demonstrated experience leading outsourcing or vendor management programmes across multiple jurisdictions.
* Strong contract management skills, including drafting and reviewing SLAs and KPIs.
* Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g. ITIL) desirable.
* Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Fluent
German
and
English
(written and spoken).
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Business Law, or a related discipline.
