Position Summary: Valbin Corporation is seeking a linguist for a potential contract supporting the NATO Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine (NSTAU) Headquarters.
In this role you will provide written translation and in person interpretation services between English and Ukrainian, including daily translation of reports, administrative documents, technical manuals, briefings, and operational communications.
Valbin Corporation’s mission is to provide linguistic support, cultural sensitivity training, project management, and exercise support services to the US Government and private sector.
Based in the Washington, D.C.
Metropolitan Area, Valbin has an established and on-going partnership with the US Government through its GSA Schedule and the Valbin Mission Readiness Support Center.
As the cornerstone of Valbin's strength, Mission Readiness Support provides government agencies and service members with translation and interpretation support, role players, battlefield immersions, and cultural awareness training.
Valbin’s efforts ensure that the United States and NATO Allies receive the best possible training support.
1. **Position contingent upon contract award** Requirements: Fluency in English and Ukrainian (reading, writing, and speaking).
Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, International Relations, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in translation/interpretation services.
Familiarity with NATO or military terminology preferred.
Valid NATO SECRET security clearance or ability to obtain within 8 months of contract award.
Legally authorized to work in Germany.
Main Responsibilities: Translate official documents, training materials, correspondence, and presentations from English to Ukrainian and vice versa.
Perform real-time liaison interpretation during staff interactions, meetings, and internal briefings.
Ensure accurate use of military, legal, and technical terminology aligned with NATO standards.
Collaborate with NSATU and contractor management to meet quality and timeliness expectations.
Follow NATO protocols for data handling, classification, and documentation.
Maintain confidentiality of all materials and adhere to NATO security procedures.
