Duties and Role:
Under the direction of Service Operations Branch Head, the incumbent will perform duties such as the following:
1. Installs, operates and maintains assigned CORE Systems software, Databases and other Applications and ICT Platforms (IS) and stays abreast of latest developments in these areas.
2. Supports the applications and data integrity and integrity of assigned ICT Platforms (IS), supports IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM), Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans.
3. Maintains liaison with other CSU internal units, Service Lines and other technical organizations.
4. Provides support related to local CIS Service provision during the execution phase.
5. Documents the design and configuration of assigned applications and ICT Platforms (IS) and the required operating procedures.
6. Implements procedures, tools and techniques for monitoring and managing the performance of applications and ICT Platforms (IS) and provides reports as required.
7. Monitors and reports on the capacity of the assigned applications and ICT Platforms (IS).
8. Assists with and implements assigned project work packages.
9. Will participate in 24/7 duties when required.
10. Performs other duties as may be required.
Requirements
Skill, Knowledge & Experience:
11. The candidate must have a currently active NATO COSMIC TOP SECRET security clearance
12. Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 2 years post-related experience or a secondary educational qualification with 4 years post-related experience.
13. Experience within the area of Systems Administration of complex computer systems;
14. Experience and knowledge in the installation and maintenance of system software such as operating systems, data management products, office automation products and other utility software;
15. Experience with diagnosis of network problems and implementation of network changes and maintenance routines;
16. Knowledge of LINUX.
Desirable Experience and Education:
17. Knowledge of AIRcC2 systems.
18. Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements.
19. Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including ACO and ACT.
20. Experience of working for an IT provider and understand the need to have excellence in delivery such as that which NCI Agency expects.
