🌍 We’re hiring: General Ledger Accountant – German Speaking | Full-Time | Frankfurt (Moerfelden-Walldorf)
Are you an experienced finance professional with a passion for precision and a strong grasp of German and English? Morrison Express is looking for a General Ledger (GL) Accountant to join our European Finance team based near Frankfurt, Germany.
📌 Reporting to: European Senior Finance & Accounting Manager
📍 Location: Moerfelden-Walldorf (Frankfurt area)

🔎 What you'll do:
As a key member of our finance team, you’ll support the German Accounting Manager across all areas of day-to-day financial operations, including:
* Accounts Payable & Receivable, General Ledger, Treasury, Financial Reporting, and Tax Compliance.
* Collaborate with 4 finance colleagues on daily transactions, reconciliations, and intercompany processes.
* Lead timely and accurate monthly closings and variance analysis, ensuring alignment with corporate deadlines.
* Maintain up-to-date account reconciliations and support preparation of statutory accounts in coordination with auditors.
* Support cash flow management and credit control to ensure operational continuity.
* Ensure correct margin allocations in collaboration with global accounting teams.
* Liaise with local authorities, banks, suppliers, and external advisors on financial and administrative matters.
* Provide backup support for AP and AR when needed.
🎯 What we’re looking for:
* 5+ years of experience in operational finance (closing, reporting, reconciliations)
* Strong analytical mindset and high attention to detail
* Fluent in German and English (written & spoken)
* A true team player who’s eager to learn and take initiative
* Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with ERP/accounting systems
* Hands-on experience with GL and understanding of AP/AR processes
* Knowledge of German accounting, VAT, tax, and/or payroll is a big plus
