Our team prides itself on providing dedicated, centralized engineering solutions to back up fundamental Equity and augment fundamental investment processes by providing additional systematic / quantitative input, while leveraging and enhancing existing systematic capabilities as one of AllianzGI Equity’s signature strengths.
What you will do
* Act as a bridge between Systematic and Fundamental Equity teams, fostering knowledge exchange, process harmonization, and supporting the coding and development of shared analytical tools
* Collaborate with fundamental Equity teams to embed quantitative insights and leverage custom-built software solutions into investment decision-making
* Ensure seamless integration of systematic tools into fundamental workflows by developing and maintaining automated processes that enhance research depth, agility, and coverage
* Own and evolve core infrastructure, including the coding and refinement of team-specific fundamental screens and scoring models
* Support in building disciplined, transparent portfolio construction and optimization processes by implementing and coding tools aligned with product positioning
* Support the development of a networked global research ecosystem, leveraging AI-driven and internally developed coding tools to facilitate collaboration and innovation
What you bring
* Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in finance, economics, data science, or a related quantitative field
* Proficiency in Python, R, or similar languages used in quantitative modeling and infrastructure development
* Experience owning and evolving core systems, fundamental screens, and team-specific scoring models
* Familiarity with AI-driven tools, including virtual research assistants and LLM-based applications / Data Analytics, Data Science
* Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across different teams
* Preference for candidates with portfolio construction / optimization experience
