Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, HGB) and tax regulations
Lead global financial consolidation and ensure alignment with corporate goals
Support the CFO in all accounting-related matters and strategic projects
Develop and implement global accounting policies and procedures
Act as a key contact for tax advisors, auditors, and other external partners
Process and Systems Excellence
Oversee and enhance the structure and quality of existing accounting workflows, including preparatory processes
Further develop internal financial accounting processes across all IPS-Group entities
Lead the implementation and optimization of ERP systems
Manage group liquidity with consideration of payment terms, payment transactions, and dunning processes
Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and financial statements
Ensure timely and accurate internal and external audits
Drive automation and digital transformation in accounting operations
Team & Culture
Inspire and lead a high-performing global accounting team
Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement
Create scalable structures and process improvements across the organization
Must-Have Qualifications
Proven experience in financial accounting (including general and sub-ledger accounting) in an international environment
Strong knowledge of financial regulations, cash flow management, and both local and international accounting standards (HGB, IFRS)
Familiarity with liquidity management, payment transactions, and dunning processes
Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
Experience with Lexware or similar accounting applications
Experience with Oracle NetSuite, SAP or comparable ERP systems
Demonstrated enthusiasm for building scalable structures and improving accounting frameworks
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence cross-functional and multicultural teams and executive leadership
Proven ability to lead through change and manage complexity in a fast-paced, global environment
Fluency in English and German
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Nice-to-have Qualifications
Initial leadership experience is desirable – alternatively, you are an ambitious professional ready to take on responsibility and advance your career
Advanced degree (MBA, MSc) or certifications such as certified accountant (IHK), CFA, CPA or equivalent practical experience
Strong analytical mindset and the ability to communicate complex financial insights clearly
