For a life sciences company, we are looking for a Project Management Director (f/m/d) for Southern Germany, starting as soon as possible.
About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Project Management Director for a leading global pharmaceutical development and manufacturing company. This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to drive excellence in clinical development and supply project management while contributing to innovative treatments that improve patients lives worldwide. The successful candidate will lead a dynamic team and play a crucial role in the sites strategic initiatives within a Patient First culture focused on quality and compliance.
Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and supervision to Project Management staff including Managers, Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and Coordinators
* Ensure effective training and development of team members to maximize business performance and individual potential
* Manage Project Management budget and serve as escalation point for complex project issues
* Support client visits, business development activities, and represent the department in executive meetings
* Drive adherence to global processes, tools, metrics, and quality standards across all projects
* Participate in forecasting, revenue planning, and S&OP activities while supporting site leadership initiatives
Profile
* Bachelors degree in relevant field with 8-10 years of client-facing project management experience in pharmaceutical/biotech environment
* Minimum 5+ years of proven personnel management and leadership experience
* Project Management Certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) preferred
* In-depth knowledge of contract development, pharmaceutical, and biotech industries
* Exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and negotiation skills
* Strong analytical and communication abilities with proven capability to influence across all organizational levels
* German and English – fluent
